Necessary
Authentication and security cookies may be used by Supabase to keep signed-in sessions working. The site also stores your privacy choice under what-a-night-consent-v1. These functions are required for the service or for remembering the choice you requested.
Product research
When enabled, the site stores what-a-night-validation-visitor-id in localStorage. It is a random browser identifier used to connect validation-survey answers from the same browser and to count that browser at most once per UTC day in the anonymous reach graph. The database stores a one-way hash for the daily count, not the browser identifier itself. Rejecting this category removes the identifier and the local daily-count marker; survey answers can still be submitted without it.
External media
When enabled, the Journey Player loads YouTube's iframe API and embedded videos. Before consent, the player is replaced by a notice. Enabling it may cause technical data to be sent to YouTube/Google.
Changing your choice
Use the Privacy choices link in the site footer at any time. Optional categories are disabled by default until you make a choice.
Newsletter choice
Newsletter consent is separate from cookies and the optional categories above. It is stored with your account, can be changed in My account and is not changed by Accept all or Reject optional.
